Julie Seitel,

Julie Seitel is a lighting designer, stage manager, and production manager for performing arts and special events. Originally from Bozeman, Julie went east for college and then spent 25 years designing and production managing in New York City and the Berkshires and touring internationally. She returned to Bozeman in late 2017 and immediately dove headlong into the wild and wonderful world of Verge Theater, creating the lighting design for I Am My Own Wife, a co-production of Verge and Bozeman Actors Theatre directed by Julie's high school friend Kari Doll. She's been creating and collaborating at Verge ever since, and loving every minute of it. Julie has been a faculty member of the Williams College and Stony Brook University theatre departments, teaching undergraduate technical theater, lighting design and stage management. She also has extensive safety training, with OSHA certifications in Electrical Safety and General Entertainment Safety, as well as certifications in aerial work platform operation. Julie is a member of IATSE Local 829 United Scenic Artists and owns the business Seitel Lighting.
