SPACE USAGE
Space Access:
During the residency, the resident has access to Verge’s space for rehearsals, tech, performances, workshops, and gallery events (if applicable).
SPACE ACCOMMODATIONS
Dressing Room:
Verge does not have a dedicated dressing room.
The Verge Classroom (West Wing) may be used, depending on availability.
Classroom Space:

ART ELEMENTS
Gallery Display:
Verge operates as a Gallery by Day ~ Theater by Night. Art must be displayed with at least 50% of the exhibit available for purchase.
If the Resident has no artist, Verge will curate art from its own artists.
All artists are contracted by Verge Theater.
Gallery Hours:
Verge’s gallery remains open Tuesday-Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., and select Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
The Residency may continue during gallery hours but be aware that the public may stop by to view art or ask questions.
Verge staff will be present to manage gallery-related activities.
REVENUE & FEES
Fees:
A $100 deposit is required to book the space, payable upon signing the contract.
Revenue Split:
Ticket Sales: 50/50 split between Verge and the Resident after processing fees where applicable.
TECHNICAL ELEMENTS
Provided Equipment:
Verge provides lighting and sound equipment, including a light board, lighting fixtures, speakers, soundboard, cue light, and baby monitor.
Available Resources:
Verge may provide limited stock set pieces (platforms, cubes) depending on availability.
BOX OFFICE
Front of House:
The Resident is responsible for finding Front-of-House attendants.
Verge will provide training.
Verge will process all ticket and art sales.
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS
Inclusion Policy:
Verge maintains a zero-tolerance policy for verbal/physical harassment, abuse, assault, or discrimination.
Neighboring Galleries:
Noise restrictions apply during gallery hours, but louder rehearsals are welcome after hours.
NON-NEGOTIABLE RULES
No open flames, glitter, smoking, incense, diffusers, or anything producing strong smells.
No fine particles, aerosols, or dust indoors.
Accessible seating is required for all shows.
